Banks Hoggins O’Shea/FCB wins slice of Moss Bros brief

Banks Hoggins O’Shea/FCB is one of a raft of agencies being signed up to work on a project basis for clothing retailer Moss Bros Group, which includes the Cecil Gee and Moss brands.

Banks Hoggins is in talks to work on the Cecil Gee brand, while Potter Dow will work on the prestige brands Moss Bros, Canali, Hugo Boss in the UK and Beale & Inman. Hudson Wright will handle Moss, which has 96 stores across the UK; In2 handles the factory outlets; and Fox Kalomaski the Moss Bros Hire business.

“We wanted agencies that are brand focused and specialise in targeting consumers that shop in different fascias,” says head of marketing Andrew Barclay. “Because the brands are so diverse we can’t have just one agency working on them all.”

Barclay joined Moss Bros about three months ago. He was previously marketing manager at Blue Water and was appointed by Moss Bros chief executive Adrian Wright, who was previously his boss at the Kent shopping centre.

Wright joined Moss Bros at the beginning of the year, with a brief to turn around the ailing retailing group, which is reportedly being stalked by Joe Bloggs entrepreneur Shami Ahmed and Karen Millen founder Kevin Stanford.
