KFC rolls out first ad

KFC is rolling out its first advertising created by newly appointed agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) this week. The advertising for the limited edition product Peking Twister introduces the strapline ‘Got Chicken, Got Soul’ and attempts to appeal to consumers on the move. In one shot it shows work colleagues who return to their desks with the KFC takeaways they have bought for lunch. The action then cuts to two girls sitting on the bonnet of their friends’ car to eat their Peking Twisters. Finally it shows a businesswoman eating her Twister on a concrete bollard. The ads are the first since BBH won the business from Ogilvy last year (MW November 28, 2002). Media buying is by Zenith Media.
