Accompanied by an e-mail expressing “disgust” at the Diary’s tale of agencies’ kind-hearted flower-sending to Ann Francke (MW January 30), a case of lager and a postcard of Britney Spears have appeared at the Marketing Week offices, as a token of “love for the Marketing Week team”. As if this wasn’t enough, several shards of broken glass were visible, wedged in the plastic wrapping. A “poisoned chalice” comment on Francke’s new role? A love-hate mail? Don’t ask the Diary. You could ask the agency which sent the lager. But to reveal its name would be unethical. Sorry.
