Telewest Business provides cable TV, telecoms, internet and data services to business customers. The division previously focused on press and poster campaigns, but a spokeswoman says: “This year online advertising is our focus and we wanted a company that could work on both online and offline advertising.”

Draft Worldwide previously only provided interactive services for Telewest Business. It is now creating a campaign that features press, outdoor, direct marketing and online advertising. This will break in the next few months.

Heresy was appointed by Telewest Business in September 2001 to launch one of its hosted services. In February last year, Heresy picked up the rest of the account when the division dropped Saatchi & Saatchi. Telewest Business’ media buying and planning business remains with Media Insight.

Telewest Business head of customer marketing Clare Grant oversaw the appointment. The division does not have a marketing director, following the departure of Chris John last year. In December, John joined the British Horseracing Board as marketing director (MW December 12, 2002).
