Top Olympic athlete fronts Coty UK ads

Coty UK has signed up world and Olympic rowing champion James Cracknell to promote the launch of Adidas Active Skincare in May.

The sponsorship deal will feature Cracknell in a series of advertorials for the introduction of Adidas Active Skincare. The deal also marks the first time Coty has extended the Adidas brand into the skincare market.

The seven-product range will be launched in Boots and independent chemists on May 19, and will include a face wash, a shaving balm, a sun cream and two face moisturisers.

Coty has also extended its sponsorship of netball team London Hurricanes for a second year. Team endorsements will focus primarily on Coty’s Adidas Active Bodycare range of deodorants.

Coty is also to launch a line of fragrances for men and women, known as Adidas 3. The line will comprise a perfume and aftershave as well as associated body sprays, the first launch into the premium perfume market for the Adidas brand. Adidas 3 will be introduced in fragrance retailers in June.

Coty has worked under an agreement with sportswear company Adidas since 1985 to use its personal care technology to launch Adidas products in the fragrance and bodycare market.
