Monster on hunt for top UK marketer

Online recruitment network Monster is seeking a UK head of marketing, a newly created role, following a company restructure.

The move follows a recent spate of departures in the marketing department. European marketing director Jeremy Caplin was made redundant in February as his role was “no longer justified” following an internal reorganisation (MW February 6). European marketing manager Giorgia Longoni, who assisted Monster in its UK marketing activities, left in April.

The new role is part of Monster’s strategy to give its local marketing teams across Europe the responsibility to execute and manage their own campaigns. The new head of marketing, who will report to Andrew Wilkinson, head of Monster Worldwide UK, will also be responsible for working with counterparts in 13 European countries and with the European head of communications to ensure brand consistency and best practice across the Continent. Their brief will be to drive revenues and to build brand awareness of the Monster brand.

Monster is also seeking to appoint a UK strategic partnership manager, who will report to the UK head of marketing and be responsible for all UK partners and contracts.
