Interbrew marketing boss given wider role
Belgian brewer Interbrew has promoted its global marketing chief Brent Willis to the new role of chief commercial officer, as predicted exclusively in Marketing Week last week.
The chief marketing officer will step into his new role, which also encompasses sales, on September 1. He will continue to oversee marketing.
The move comes just five months after the brewer appointed Cadbury Schweppes chief operating officer John Brock as its chief executive. Last week, chief operating officer Jerry Fowden’s role was eliminated as part of a management reshuffle. Fowden will instead take on responsibility for Interbrew’s European operations. The shake-up also resulted in the departure of chief financial officer Luc Missorten.
Interbrew UK has also realigned its board structure and promoted UK and Ireland regional president Stewart Gilliland to the position of zone president for Canada. He will be replaced by Interbrew US president Steve Cahillane.
