Jumping the gun over Camelot?

I was very interested to read last week’s “exclusive” that we are “strongly tipped” to appoint Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO to handle the advertising for the EuroMillions draw due to be launched next year (MW September 18).

As you know, we denied that any

appointment had been made prior to the article going to press. I only wish that your elusive “tipster” had phoned Camelot to tell us who we are going to appoint, therefore saving us the need to go through the process of selecting our agency using the proper process – and saving both AMV and WCRS considerable time and effort.

Given that there are two agencies left in the race, you have 50 per cent chance of your story being proved correct. Rest assured, we’ll let you and your 72,000 readers know whether your “tip” is right when we make a decision.

In the meantime, I have another hot tip for you and your readers – our new Daily Play game launched on Monday. It offers a one-in-eight chance of winning any prize up to &£30,000, the best odds of any of our draw-based games.
