Food Advertising Unit slams latest attempt to ban ‘junk food’ advertising

The Food Advertising Unit has slammed MP Debra Shipley’s latest attempt to ban the advertising of ‘junk food’ to pre-school children. Shipley introduced her ten-minute rule bill in July but it was dropped owing to lack of parliamentary time (MW July 17). She reintroduced it on November 4. (Torin Douglas, page 19.)
