BlowUP Media and The Persuaders showcase Olympic logo

Poster contractor BlowUP Media and media agency The Persuaders showcased the London Olympic Bid 2012 Committee’s logo on a giant poster outside Tate Modern art gallery. The multicoloured logo was designed by Kino Design, and chosen by a panel of experts, Olympians, athletes and Londoners after an open competition against over 1,000 entries. The logo features a ribbon representing the River Thames, with the five different colours reflecting the five continents of the world. Kino’s entry will be used on all advertising, bid materials and communications. The 320m poster was unveiled by five abseilers on Monday. Bid chairman Barbara Cassani says: ‘To me, the ribbon brings to mind the medals Olympians and Paralympians will come to London to compete for in 2012, or it could be the finishing line of a world-class race.’
