Yes, the Diary can this week exclusively imply that the TBWA creative mastermind and the boss of MTV Europe are in some unspecified way probably connected to secret Fifties atomic bomb tests close blood relatives. Consider these uncanny parallels: Trevor Beattie was born in Birmingham, England; Brent Hansen was born in New Zealand.

That’s almost the exact antipode of Birmingham. Both of them have “B” as one of their initials. Beattie’s company makes ads; Hansen’s shows them. You have to wonder why no one thought of it before, really.
