Coca-Cola signs Westfield Corp deal

Coca-Cola has signed a deal with shopping mall operator Westfield Corp in the US to open Coca-Cola Red Lounges. The lounges are ‘experiential spaces’ where teenagers can learn about new music, films and games and buy Coca-Cola products from vending machines.

McDonald’s plans to concentrate on core offer

…McDonald’s has announced plans to concentrate on its core offer, with the decision to sell off a number of its international interests including Donatos Pizzeria. It will retain its stake in sandwich chain Pret A Manger, although it is withdrawing from Pret A Manger in Japan.

TV2003 Conference

Travel Inn sponsors C4 reality show

Travel Inn is to sponsor a Channel 4 reality show called Shattered, in which contestants are challenged to see how long they can stay awake. The programme, hosted by Dermot O’Leary, runs for a week from January 4. The deal was negotiated by OMD Affinity.
