Super-Max appoints Johnson & Johnson marketer to top UK role

Shaving products company Super-Max has appointed Johnson & Johnson marketer Sebastian Kracht as its UK marketing chief.

Shaving products company Super-Max has appointed Johnson & Johnson marketer Sebastian Kracht as its UK marketing chief.

Kracht will hold the newly created position of general manager for marketing. He will spearhead the company’s efforts to gain share in a highly competitive disposable razor market dominated by Gillette.

Kracht’s appointment comes at a time when the company is believed to be seeing agencies about its global account, which is held by McCann-Erickson. The company’s UK ad account has been handled by Golley Slater since 2000 (MW November 9, 2000). A company spokesman denies the speculation.

Former Remington European marketing chief Richard Rietjens joined Super-Max as head of its Dubai-based international marketing team last year (MW September 4, 2003).

Super-Max claims to be the second-largest manufacturer of razor blades in the world and was the first brand to launch a three-bladed disposable razor in the UK.

The company also sells a range of disposable razors, toiletries and shaving creams for men and women in the US, Eastern Europe, South Africa, Mexico, India and the Middle East.
