Orange Glo appoints head of marketing

Household cleaning company Orange Glo has appointed an ex-bottled water marketing chief to lead its marketing team and oversee an advertising agency search.

Kevin Bolt has joined Orange Glo from Well Well Well, where he was commercial director. Bolt has headed Well Well Well’s marketing since the company’s creation in 1999, and has also held marketing positions with Appletise, Wells Soft Drinks and Merrydown.

Bolt’s first task will be to pick an agency to handle Orange Glo’s ad account, which was moved out of Euro RSCG London owing to a clash with rival Reckitt Benckiser at the beginning of the year. While at Well Well Well, Bolt oversaw the &£3m pitch to find an ad agency for its Aqua-Pura brand in 2001.

Bolt will take over marketing responsibilities from former Orange Glo marketing director Mark Jaffe, although Bolt will hold the more senior position of general manager.

Jaffe left the company following a marketing restructure at the company last year, and has since joined HJ Heinz as category leader for potato and meat-free products (MW October 30, 2003).

Well Well Well has rejigged its marketing structure in the wake of Bolt’s departure. Group marketing manager Jason Williams has been promoted to marketing director. The company has focused its marketing spend on sponsorship of sports rather than advertising in recent years.
