DLKW shares with W&K £8m ANM websites ad business

Associated New Media (ANM) has appointed Delaney Lund Knox Warren (DLKW) and Wieden & Kennedy to the &£8m advertising account for its consumer websites.

ANM is a division of Associated Newspapers and includes the free classified ads newspaper Loot. The incumbent agency for the websites is DSJ-SW.

DLKW will work on the personal finance site This Is Money. The agency already works on the advertising for the Financial Times, but the newspaper says it doesn’t see a clash of interest and had been kept informed of DLKW’s intentions.

A Financial Times spokeswoman says: “We are a global print and online organisation and at the moment we do not see the Associated brief as clashing with anything we do.”

DLKW will also work on London information and news site This Is London and londonjobs.co.uk.

Wieden & Kennedy will manage the launch of the Daily Mail online and The Mail on Sunday online. The agency will also handle existing property website Homes and Property, travel website This Is Travel and search directory UKPlus.

Wieden & Kennedy already works on Loot. It was appointed to the account in April 2002 by former ANM managing director Stephen Miron, who is now managing director of The Mail on Sunday. DLKW handles advertising for Teletext Holidays, owned by Daily Mail & General Trust, the holding company for Associated Newspapers.
