Delaney Lund Knox Warren has created the advertising for the launch of Vauxhall’s new Astra hatchback. The car company is vowing to outspend any other car manufacturer for the coming year. The campaign breaks on television on May 1 to coincide with the first UK deliveries of the car. The new Astra will be promoted heavily on TV until the end of the year, as well as by an initial outdoor campaign followed by heavy press support. The campaign is designed to promote the new Astra’s styling and handling characteristics. Vauxhall marketing director Andy Gilson decided against pursuing the three-dimensional outdoor format used for the German launch.
