Pulse Home Products is talking to agencies about a pitch for a £1m Christmas television ad campaign for its range of Nicky Clarke haircare products.

Pulse Home Products is talking to agencies about a pitch for a &£1m Christmas television ad campaign for its range of Nicky Clarke haircare products.

The ads will mark a return to TV for hairdresser Nicky Clarke, as one agency source says the brief calls for the use of the hairdresser in the ads. This will be the first time Pulse has backed the Nicky Clarke range with TV support.

Pulse owns the licence to make and market electrical appliances such as hair dryers under the Nicky Clarke franchise. The company is understood to have approached a number of agencies about a forthcoming campaign and is believed to have already narrowed its search to a short-list.

Pulse Home Products is owned by the electrical products manufacturer Alba, which also makes the Goodmans and Bush brands. A spokesman for Pulse Home Products denies it is looking for an agency because a budget has not yet been allocated.

The Nicky Clarke range of electrical haircare products is a different licence to the shampoo and conditioners, which are now marketed by Procter & Gamble.
