Reshuffle at Viacom Outdoor

Viacom Outdoor has reorganised its sales and marketing team. The move sees Hannah Skellorn, formerly marketing communications manager, promoted to UK marketing director.

Steve Cox, who was in charge of planning and research for marketing, reporting to Skellorn, has been appointed to the new role of strategic planning director for sales. Cox will be heading the agency sales team and will build links with agency planners and creatives.

Skellorn says: “The objective is to have people in the sales and marketing roles who can talk to clients in their own language, because they have been on the client side.”

She adds she is now seeking to recruit someone to fill another new role, head of consumer insight.

European marketing director Mike Baker had been in charge of UK marketing, but will now concentrate on expanding the company’s European business – Viacom Outdoor has interests in Ireland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Finland and Spain.

In the UK, Viacom Outdoor sells all advertising space and sponsorship opportunities on the London Underground, London buses, trams and trains. It is owned by the global entertainment giant Viacom, which also owns CBS, Paramount Pictures, MTV, Nickelodeon, Blockbuster, VH-1 and Simon & Schuster.
