The new way of turbo-charging racing cars?

Finding stories for the Diary isn’t the easiest job around. Many hours are spent trawling the advertising world looking for quirky or irreverent snippets to satisfy our legion of fans (they are called Godfrey and Eileen and live in Goole). Yet sometimes a story comes along that writes itself.

The Rockingham motor-racing circuit is holding a series of races known as “Days of Thunder”, so called because the cars are 500 bhp American saloon-style cars with V8 high-performance engines, and therefore very loud. One of the Days of Thunder series’ main sponsors is curry producer Sanjay Foods. Does the Diary really need to include the punchline?
