Mother creates Coca-Cola campaign

Mother has created an advertising campaign for Coca-Cola Great Britain’s Dr Pepper soft drink brand to support its sponsorship of MTV programme Punk’d. The four 30-second executions, which will run on MTV, feature actors who are asked to audition for a Dr Pepper ad in one of a variety of styles, such as a cheerleader or gorilla. Their actual audition tapes comprise the ad. Punk’d is a celebrity prank show hosted by actor Ashton Kutcher and Dr Pepper is its first sponsor (MW February 5). The advertising campaign ties up with an on-pack promotion inviting consumers to enter a competition in which they suggest a practical joke to play on their friends. The five best scenarios will be filmed for another series of television ads.
