Viacom president resigns

Viacom’s president and chief operating officer Mel Karmazin has unexpectedly resigned from the group that includes MTV, CBS and Paramount Pictures. Karmazin’s position will be taken on jointly by Tom Freston, chief executive of MTV and Leslie Moonves chief executive of CBS.
