The Diary has learnt that Mercier Gray is to enter the ‘exciting’ world of guerrilla marketing to enliven the industry with some more cunning stunts. Last week the agency descended on London’s Covent Garden ‘in style’, to launch its experiential arm, Mercier Gray Live. This time Rob Gray allowed the spotlight to shine elsewhere, as attention focused on artistes performing acrobatic routines and breakdance moves. While the agency assures the Diary that the event attracted large crowds, the photo appears to tell a different story. Oh well, better luck with the campaigns for Beiersdorf (Nivea), The Guinness World Records, Pfizer and Bic. The Diary wonders what the agency will conjure up.
