Capital Radio marketing team rejigged

Capital Radio Group has created two senior positions to handle the marketing for its regional FM network and develop its brands division. The move will allow the group to focus its marketing on three key areas, which also includes 95.8 Capital FM in London.

The new roles will not affect the group’s existing marketers such as Xfm head of marketing Charlotte Soussan or the regional network marketer Eirwen Parker, who will report to the new marketing directors. The appointments will also not affect Carl Lyons, who joined the group last year as FM network marketing director but has increased his focus on London station 95.8 Capital FM.

The appointments follow a restructure of senior management which saw Capital Gold Network managing director Lyn Long promoted to managing director of the regional FM network. Xfm managing director Graham Bryce took over the Capital Gold Network (MW April 8).

Capital has been restructuring its teams since last summer following the departure of FM network managing director Andria Vidler. Her role was filled by operations director Paul Davies and group programming director Keith Pringle, who moved to focus on 95.8 Capital FM (MW July 31, 2003).
