Siemens to start global brand push

Mobile handset company Siemens is launching a global brand campaign, which will focus on its product range’s benefits such as design and engineering.

The company is launching the new campaign, which will carry the tagline “Designed for Life”, as it rolls out its 65 series phones.

Siemens’ chief marketing officer, Jens-Thomas Pietralla, says the new brand strategy was designed to move Siemens’ handsets on from just being about connecting people at the right time to delivering on consumers’ search for premium-quality products.

He adds that the new campaign is a deliberate effort to move the brand from being visualised by people: “We want to make our product the hero.”

The campaign breaks in the UK later this month, and was created jointly by Springer & Jacoby and TBWA/Worldwide.
