The ebookers UK Group, the online travel specialist, has appointed full-service agency Guava to advise it on internet and new media marketing.
Guava’s first task will be to create and manage a major pay-per-click search engine marketing campaign, set to last at least 12 months. Guava will be responsible for checking what consumers are searching for and updating ebookers listings with the major search engines up to 24 times a day to ensure that the travel company’s ebookers.com, Travelbag and Bridge the World websites are effectively promoted within set budgets.
The ebookers UK Group bought Bridge the World and Travelbag last year. The product range sold under the three brands includes mid- and long-haul travel, tours, excursions, hotels, car hire, adventure holidays, sports tours and safaris. It recently appointed strategic branding and marketing consultancy Onesixtyfourth to advise on its branding and market positioning (MW May 27).
