Eurostar and Tesco link up for Clubcard

Tesco Clubcard has signed a deal with Eurostar, giving customers the choice of redeeming their clubcard points direct with the travel company instead of going through the supermarket’s other travel partner Air Miles.

Customers will be able to buy a standard second class return leisure ticket to Brussels, Paris or Lille up to the value of &£99 for &£25 in Clubcard vouchers.

Steve McArdle Tesco Freetime director says: “This partnership gives Tesco Clubcard a valuable travel offering, which we expect to be very popular.”

An Air Miles spokeswoman says that it offers a range of holidays and that Tesco’s tie-up with Eurostar is not a threat.

Eurostar now has redemption deals not only with Tesco Clubcard, but also Air Miles and Nectar.

Eurostar national account manager Louise Pink says: “We work with all three schemes and we are trying to build our relationships with all of them.”
