TalkSport tastes its own medicine

If nothing else, it is great to see TalkSport’s advertising remains consistent. A darting boot into the competitor’s groin (Classic FM), simultaneously winding-up the marketing oldies by the highly original photo of an elderly lady sitting on a stair lift, topped by the snigger-inducing copy “Classic FM listeners’ all-time favourite: Chairway to Heaven”.

A big “thank you” to Kelvin and his boys at TalkSport. You got me thinking what an equivalent ad would look like if Classic FM were to take the same approach. If you want to see the result, have a look at www.crapadverts.com.

Before somebody points out that I should stick to the day job and not go into advertising, let me say they are absolutely right. An advertising natural, I am not. I think this is the only thing that I have in common with the marketing dynamos at TalkSport.
