Play your cards right…

Cor! What a pair! The Diary hasn’t seen anything like that since the old Soho days. Yes, the aces just don’t seem to be falling this way like they used to.

The eye-watering beauty holding the hand is the new face of online gambling site Blue Square Poker. Using an approach more commonly employed to scare children away from chatrooms, Blue Square is making the point that “you never know who you’re playing” – that 24-year-old fireman from Chicago is probably your scary Auntie Agnes. Perhaps you’re even playing against yourself, all unawares.

The strapline for the advertisement is “What’s your poker face?”. Probably a terrified grimace, after this campaign.
