Warner Holidays picks McKiver to lead team

Warner Holidays has appointed Jane McKiver as its new sales and marketing director. McKiver replaces Julie Gould and joins from sister company British Holidays, where she headed the sales operation. Both companies are owned by Bourne Leisure.

Gould announced her departure in July and has since been carrying out consultancy work for the company, overseeing planning into 2005. She was previously marketing director for the Oasis Forest Holiday Village before it was bought and rebranded by Center Parcs.

While at Warner Holidays, Gould oversaw an advertising agency review that resulted in Doner Cardwell Hawkins being appointed to the &£2m account.

The business was previously handled by Senior King Communications. Mediaedge:CIA holds the media planning and buying account.

In June, Bourne Leisure held a marketing and media pitch for its British Holidays and Haven Holidays brands. The pitch was conducted through the AAR. HDM was appointed to the &£5m advertising and &£3m direct marketing business, and BLM Media to its media planning and buying account.

Warner Holidays specialises in exclusive short-break holidays for adults and has 13 UK hotel and country house locations, such as Corton Hall in Suffolk and Norton Grange in Yarmouth, Isle of Wight.
