Orange Glo picks chief marketer
Household cleaning company Orange Glo has recruited former Aqua-Pura mineral water marketing chief Jason Williams to head its marketing team.
Orange Glo has been without a marketing director since the departure of Mark Jaffe to HJ Heinz as category leader for potato and meat-free products (MW October 30, 2003).
Williams has been without a job since leaving Well Well Well, the company that owns the Aqua-Pura brand. His departure was precipitated when Well Well Well was acquired by food and soft drinks group Princes (MW June 10).
Williams will report to former Well Well Well boss Kevin Bolt, who joined Orange Glo as general manager earlier this year (MW March 4). Prior to joining Well Well Well, Williams was senior product manager at Wilkinson Sword.
Williams joins Orange Glo at a time when the company is promising a large increase in its marketing activity. The company hived off its sales and distribution activities to Acdoco last month, in order to focus on marketing and new product development (MW September 2).
Bolt has started a review of the company’s advertising, which is thought to be worth about &£2m (MW last week). The company has been without an ad agency since it was forced to move out of Partners BDDH following the agency’s merger with Euro RSCG.
