SurfControl promotes Adamson

SurfControl, the internet and e-mail filtering specialist, has promoted executive vice-president for Americas sales Mick Adamson to president, Americas operations. He replaces Kevin Blakeman, who becomes executive vice-president of products and technology, in a restructure of SurfControl’s American operations. SurfControl’s first-quarter profits – hit by restructuring and goodwill write-offs – fell from $3.4m (£1.9m) to $200,000 (£110,000). Sales rose 14 per cent to $22.5m (£12.5m).
