Fallon/Naked venture wins Omsco account

The Organic Milk Supplier Co-operative (Omsco) has appointed Happen at Fallon, the communications planning partnership between Fallon and Naked, to handle its communications planning and creative account. Omsco is the first client to pick the new venture.

Happen at Fallon is understood to have pitched against Walsh Trott Chick Smith, Mustoes, Hooper Galton and The Leith Agency. The pitch was handled by the AAR.

It is thought that the co-operative has appointed Happen at Fallon to help it increase brand awareness so it can extend into own-branded products at some point next year. It is estimated that the account could be worth up to £2m.

Omsco, which was formed in 1994, is the largest organic dairy co-operative in the UK. It supplies about half the UK’s organic milk, to processors such as Yeo Valley and McDonald’s and supermarkets including Sainsbury’s.

It is known that the co-operative is keen to raise awareness of the work it does on standards, and the profile of its member farmers. It is understood that it hopes to develop its brand as a quality standard for organic consumers, which will benefit the companies it supplies, as well as its own products.
