Honda is launching a &£4m advertising campaign, created by Wieden & Kennedy, for its new FR-V family car. The ‘Together’ advertising shows a family, including a dog called Syd, going to buy a car. The heavily simplified animated style is intended to appeal to children as well as their parents. The 60-second ad breaks this Friday in cinemas across the UK and will be followed by television and press activity in January. The campaign follows September’s ‘Grrr’ campaign for the Accord diesel and the celebrated ‘Cog’ ad last year. The FR-V, which goes on sale this month in the UK, is a compact multi-purpose vehicle with the unusual format of two rows of three seats. Media planning is by Naked Communications and media buying by Starcom Motive.
