Citigate lands £1.5m Invesco Perpetual job

Investment management company Invesco Perpetual has appointed Citigate Albert Frank, the specialist financial advertising and communications agency owned by the Incepta Group, to handle its &£1.5m advertising business.

A new Citigate Albert Frank campaign – which the agency claims is the brand’s biggest push for four years – breaks this week, and features the return of the mountain symbol, used by Perpetual for 20 years until the merged company was formed five years ago. Invesco Perpetual was formed by the merger of Invesco and Perpetual in 2000.

The campaign will include national press, outdoor, trade and online advertising. The initial burst runs through February and March, the height of the ISA season, with some advertising continuing throughout the year.

Invesco Perpetual marketing director Rick White says: “The introduction of the strong new visual imagery that can be consistently applied across all media will support and add to the public’s recognition and understanding of our brand.”It is understood the account was awarded after a lengthy pitch involving a number of agencies, although no further details are available. Abstract and Pegram Walters have handled the business in the past (MW January 30, 2003).
