Direct Line has appointed interactive media agency Tamar to handle natural search optimisation for its website, www.directline.com.
Tamar’s role is to ensure that Direct Line’s motor, home, travel and pet insurance offerings appear high in the results on search sites such as Google and MSN.
Pay-per-click search engine marketing is unaffected by the appointment, and will continue to be handled by online buying agency Outrider. Outrider will also continue to work for Direct Line’s sister company, Churchill.
Tamar has considerable experience in the insurance industry, having worked for Endsleigh Insurance since 1998. It has also worked for motoring organisation the RAC since 2001, on roadside assistance, insurance services and its BSM driving school subsidiary.
