Nethouseprices picks OTPmedia for ad task

Nethouseprices, the UK house price information website which has had 30 million page impressions and 50 million hits in just six weeks since it was launched at the end of December 2004, has appointed online media specialists OTPmedia to sell its entire advertising inventory.

The site – www.nethouseprices.com – allows visitors to search on any UK postcode, street or town and instantly view details of residential properties bought in that area since April 2000. Users can carry out as many searches as they wish free of charge, without having to register. Even though registration is not compulsory, Nethouseprices.com has built up a registered user base of more than 150,000.

OTPmedia marketing director Ian Woolley says: “Nethouseprices presents huge opportunities for a wide range of advertisers to target very accurately.” Effectively, Woolley adds, ads can be delivered to site users on a geographic basis, by what a user’s income is likely to be, by social status and through executions that are relevant to someone moving house, such as moving services or mortgage providers. “For the advertiser, this means extremely accurate targeting, minimal wastage and maximum return, while for the user it means advertising that is relevant and useful.”

Nethouseprices offers free and instant access to pricing information on houses sold in the UK in the past five years, based on data from the Land Registry of England & Wales and Registers of Scotland. Rival sites offering similar services charge users to view a house price.
