The Diary has wiled away many an hour playing Buckaroo!, Hungry Hippos and I Vant To Bite Your Finger, so it was delighted to see Media Mogul single-handedly leading the Noughties’ board game revival.The makers of the Media Mogul board game, which will include the logos of 90 major media brands, are targeting 18- to 30-year-olds who ‘Work hard? Play harder’. The first edition of the game will be launched at Hamleys Toy Festival in September, but any company wishing to join the likes of Channel 4, Classic FM and Hello! in having their logo included in the game must send their details to www.mediamogul.biz by April 15. The Diary is impressed to see something as old-fashioned as a board game being used to show how the media industry works, and can’t wait for the PlayStation version to come out so that it too can join in.
