Doner Cardwell Hawkins wins £20m Lexmark brief

Printer manufacturer Lexmark International has appointed Doner Cardwell Hawkins to its &£20m advertising account.

The agency has handled the company’s advertising account in the US since last year, but the Europe, Middle East and African account has been handled by DDB in France. It will now be run out of Doner Cardwell Hawkins’ London office.

The agency created a US campaign last year that focused on Lexmark’s easy-to-use products and services, promoting the message that Lexmark helps to uncomplicate printing and allow businesses to be more productive.Doner Cardwell Hawkins is working on a new campaign for the EMEA region, with a particular focus on western Europe.

Lexmark vice-president and president of the company’s consumer printer division Najib Bahous says: “Increasing brand awareness and preference around the world is one of our key initiatives to boost sales of Lexmark products, services and solutions.”

Earlier this year, Lexmark appointed Matthew Yarrow as director of the UK consumer printer division. He reports to European consumer printer vice-president Antonello Cardone. Yarrow joined Lexmark from toy giant Mattel, where he held senior managerial roles in sales, marketing and operations.
