Getminted.com advertising moves out of Boost to Spirit

Online gambling operation Getminted.com is on the verge of switching its advertising and planning accounts, worth £1m, away from Boost.

Spirit is set to take over the creative business, while Goodman & Associates will be appointed to handle media planning and buying.

Although the company says the decisions have yet to be finalised, the changes are expected to take place over the next three months. Boost may be retained on an ad hoc basis for strategic input once its contracts finish in July.

Getminted.com, which is owned by London-based company Cashcade but licensed in Alderney, the Channel Islands, through the company WagerWorks, is running a press and poster campaign created by Boost and planned by Boost together with Goodman & Associates.

The website has other activity planned for the summer, including sponsorship of eight gameshows, among them Bullseye, Catchphrase and the Price is Right, on Challenge TV. The idents are to be created by both Boost and Spirit. Getminted.com has also agreed a sponsorship deal with TalkSport radio and has online ads planned.

Getminted.com, which created the first online multi-player poker room available in pounds sterling, was launched in 2000. The company has previously been promoted by footballer turned actor Vinnie Jones.
