Take this Scottish chuntering to Herts
Adam Chard is almost correct in his identification of the Scottish flag (MW last week) flying in a small-town English street. But rest easy, Stella
and Scotland. The town featured is St Albans, Hertfordshire – and the flag flying above the Abbey is the city’s flag (blue background with a yellow saltire). I am a little shocked that the old VW Beetle has been allowed to travel (or is it abandoned?) the wrong way up a one way street, however, but I guess that’s advertising.
