Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has appointed Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners (DLKW) to handle a campaign for its Stronghold brand.
The agency has created a television ad for the flea and roundworm treatment, which is due to air later this month. The ad deals with the minor frustrations that pets create in people’s lives.
A spokeswoman says: “The campaign focuses on those tricky situations when we wish that our cats and dogs would be a little easier to look after – if only they would wipe their feet, take a shower or take themselves to the toilet.
“It aims to show that when it comes to treating pets for fleas and roundworm, Stronghold can make life very simple.”
The decision to hand DLKW the brief will not affect the agencies on Pfizer’s roster, which includes JWT (for Benylin and Calpol) and Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO (for Nicorette and Regaine). DLKW has been awarded the Stronghold brief on a project basis and the agency has not been added to the roster.
Pfizer owns brands ranging from Listerine mouthwash to Regaine hair-loss treatment, but is probably best known for Viagra – the treatment for erectile dysfunction it launched in 1997.
