With plenty of brake horsePowerPoint, it’s an engine for growth

After a recent survey revealed that people tend to think about sex, football and, er, “proposed changes to the no-ball law in cricket” when they are bored in meetings, the Diary feels it is time for a rethink of the whole meeting medium.

Perhaps if more meetings were held at venues like the one above, designed by creativity@work, bored employees might instead wonder: “Is the handbrake on?” or think: “That bastard’s just jumped a red light.” This is because creativity@work has just launched “the world’s smallest conference centre”, which is, essentially, a two-seater car.

The Creativitymobile was designed for the London Design Festival. Services on offer in the conference centre include free consultations, including “gym sessions working on anyone’s live problems”, clinics addressing how you can be a more creative person, and “managed maverick” reviews to help think up completely new ways of doing things.

Given the number of activities on offer, the Diary can’t help but wonder whether the designers have somehow gained access to the technology behind Dr Who’s Tardis. Should any reader want the little conference centre to visit their business, further details can be found on creativityatwork.co.uk.
