Leigh resurfaces at TCA helm as chief executive

Adam Leigh, the former managing director of Euro RSCG London, has been appointed chief executive of independent marketing services business The Communications Agency (TCA). Leigh will run the business with TCA founder and chairman Robert Prevezer.

Leigh left Euro RSCG London late last year without a job to go to following a period of upheaval at the agency. At the time, Leigh said it was time to leave and he was reported to have refused then chairman Ben Langdon’s offer of deputy chairmanship at the agency.

Leigh was credited with bringing to the agency Argos’s &£35m ad account, which was put up for review earlier this year and is now held by Clemmow Hornby Inge.

Leigh joined Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper in 2000 as deputy managing director, moving from Bates UK. He was promoted to managing director in 2002, sharing responsibility with co- managing director Simon Toaldo after Euro RSCG merged with Partners BDDH.

He began his marketing career at Ogilvy & Mather in 1987, rising to new business director before his departure. He joined Bates Dorland (later Bates UK) in 1996, where he became deputy managing director in 1999.

The Communications Agency was founded by Robert Prevezer in 1986 and is one of the UK’s oldest independent marketing services agencies. Its clients include Disney, American Express and Gillette.
