Selfridges to unveil new online design

Selfridges is relaunching its website at the beginning of November, which has been completely redesigned to look like a fashion magazine. It has been designed by award-winning agency AllofUs, which has Motorola and Sky among its clients.

The website makes heavy use of Selfridges’ corporate yellow and black colours, and includes regularly updated information on events at the four Selfridges stores, fashion, exclusive offers, competitions and information on the brands that Selfridges carries. The site’s content management system will allow in-house marketers to update the information quickly.

Visitors can sign up for a targeted monthly e-mail newsletter. The site also has a more corporate side, covering the group’s history, job openings, press information and location details of stores, plus an area where gift vouchers can be bought online.

AllofUs worked with digital agency Design UK to customise the latter’s online marketing system, Lava, to fit Selfridges’ business needs. Lava offers content management, website optimisation, intranet and extranet capabilities, e-mail marketing, customer tracking, search engine optimisation and e-commerce potentiality.
