RHM strengthens marketing staff

RHM, the owner of Hovis and Mr Kipling, has made a raft of marketing appointments at group and brand level in an effort to boost innovation and growth.

The Culinary Brands division, which includes names such as Sharwood’s, Bisto and Robertsons, has appointed former Dairy Crest head of marketing for butters and spreads Paul Davis as brand director for Sharwood’s.

It has also promoted Sharwood’s head of marketing Rob Devonport to brand director for Bisto. He is overseeing the relaunch of the brand, which began this week with a new advertising campaign and new strapline.

The changes follow the appointment of Mark Doorbar as marketing director of Culinary Brands, which was previously known as Centura Foods (MW September 15). Doorbar says that the appointments show the division’s commitment to investing in its portfolio and developing brands.

At group level, RHM has promoted Harriet Rhys-Williams to group marketing development director. She was previously managing director of McDougalls Foods and has held a variety of roles at the company.

The group has also appointed Michele Giles as head of marketing intelligence. She was previously global head of insight at Codemasters.
