US beauty firm takes £1m step into the UK

Health and beauty company Science & Nature has picked Feathers Brooksbank to handle its £1m media account ahead of its UK launch.

Health and beauty company Science & Nature has picked Feathers Brooksbank to handle its &£1m media account ahead of its UK launch.

The company is planning to launch its Nutural One Step skincare product in the UK in early November. It will initially be supported by a print campaign in Scottish newspapers and health and beauty magazines.

Science & Nature has also appointed Livingston Associates to handle the branding and marketing of the product, which will be available online or via a call centre.

Nutural One Step combines anti-wrinkle, moisturising and exfoliating proper- ties. The product has been available in the US for ten years, but the company is now ready to roll it out in Scotland, before a wider launch across the UK. Science & Nature also intends to make other products, such as Neem Nail Oil, available.

Scottish entrepreneur Bill Fleming, founder of Science & Nature, comments: “We are confident this will provide us with an important gateway to the rest of the UK. The Scottish market is seen as an ideal stepping-stone to Europe.”

Helen Livingston, managing director of Livingston Associates, which developed the Nutural One Step name, says: “This is a relatively expensive product to make compared to rival brands, owing to the high number of natural ingredients, so dealing direct with consumers keeps the cost competitive.”
