Black n’ Red rules in the margins of society

Black n’ Red notebooks maker John Dickinson got an unusual piece of fan mail this Hallowe’en. The stationery has always been popular with office workers, but apparently it is the notepaper of choice for witches.

It would seem, according to Heath Witch of the Haunted Valley (or, as her friends call her, Heather Ward of Longdendale), that Black n’ Red has something of a following within the supernatural community. In her fan mail to JD, she says: “Black n’ Red books are fabulous for keeping track of my magical and spiritual practice, and for cataloguing spells. They’re easy to store, use and transport and very easy to read from in low-light conditions in my gar-den.” The Diary would usually mock such a weak pun, but has resisted doing so for fear of becoming the victim of a wicked spell.

So with the lucrative witches market cornered, what other overlooked sectors of society will Black n’ Red target next? Maybe a soil-resistant version for prospective zombie customers, or garlic-free pages for stationery-loving vampires?
