New Campaign – Boots

Red Bee Media, formerly known as BBC Broadcast, has created an interactive television (iTV) campaign for high street retailer Boots in the run-up to Christmas.

The campaign launches this week and aims to help viewers choose Christmas presents and then sends them their shopping list via text message. The iTV ad supports Boots’ above-the-line campaign, “Giving Feels Good this Christmas”.

Digital TV viewers can access the iTV strand by pressing the red button when the advertisement is aired. They are then taken through to a Boots Gift Idea Generator where they are given five options – for him, her, children, teenagers, grandparents – with five sub- profiles for the person they are buying for, including glamour girl, gadget lover, keen cook and party animal.

Under each category three gifts are suggested that all feature in the “three for two” Mix & Match range, as advertised in the TV ad. There is also a lucky dip category for viewers who want a quick and easy gift suggestion.
