Internet service provider Tiscali UK is understood to be in talks with advertising agencies about specific marketing projects.
It is not known whether the move is part of a wider strategic review or a project-only initiative.
Tiscali’s most recent above-the-line ad campaign in the UK features an expectant father outside a delivery room preoccupied with the cost of Tiscali’s broadband. The campaign was created by Mortimer Whittaker O’Sullivan, which was appointed to handle Tiscali’s creative account earlier this year.
At the time of the MWO appointment, Tiscali UK chief executive Mary Turner stated that advertising had been pivotal to aiding the company’s growth in the UK in 2004.
Tiscali has used agencies for specific projects. It appointed Amsterdam-based Strawberry Frog to handle the pan-European launch of its Tiscali.plus product.
