£3m Skills Development Agency brief to stay at Claydon Heeley

Claydon Heeley Jones Mason, part of Omnicom’s newly formed Zulu network, has retained the &£3m advertising and direct marketing account for the Sector Skills Development Agency (SSDA) following an OJEC (Official Journal of the European Union) tender process.

The SSDA is the body responsible for funding, supporting and monitoring the Skills for Business network of 25 industry specific Sector Skills Councils. Their job is to boost the productivity and profitability of the UK by making the education and skills system more responsive to the needs of employers.

Last year, Claydon Heeley created an outdoor, press and direct marketing campaign for the SSDA fronted by respected business leaders. In 2006, the agency will focus on informing employers that the power to change the skills make-up of the UK is in their hands.

Claydon Heeley promoted group business director Mike Welsh to managing director last month following the departure of chief executive Nigel Jones, who left to join FCB. Earlier this year Claydon Heeley won the &£7m direct marketing account for Ladbrokes from WWAV Rapp Collins.
